A Master Mariner with over 15 years of experience on oil and chemical tankers, he specializes in commercial management and currently serves as a Commercial Superintendent, overseeing charter party compliance, claims, and voyage performance. With a strong seagoing background, he brings practical operational insight to commercial decision-making, managing risks, off-hire and performance claims, and working closely with charterers to ensure efficient operations while safeguarding owners’ interests.
Arun Kartha

A seasoned maritime professional with over 20 years of experience across LPG, oil, and chemical tankers, including service as a Master Mariner, he has sailed with leading ship management companies such as Wilhelmsen Ship Management, Synergy Maritime, and Fleet Management Limited, handling a wide range of cargoes including LPG, chemical gases, liquid chemicals, and oil. A CQI/IRCA ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor, he brings strong expertise in maritime audits, having conducted comprehensive audits, led pre-SIRE inspections, and delivered crew training to ensure compliance. Since August 2025, he has been serving as a Commercial Superintendent with Akeru Commercial, overseeing chartering activities and end-to-end commercial vessel operations, driving optimal performance, contractual compliance, and efficient voyage execution. He is known for his results-driven approach, underpinned by strong leadership, operational insight, and a consistent focus on safety, performance optimization, and continuous improvement.

A Master Mariner with over 20 years of maritime experience, including nine years in senior roles on Aframax, Suezmax, and MR tankers, he has sailed with India Steamship, Synergy Maritime, Dynacom Tankers, and Selandia, gaining extensive expertise in crude and clean petroleum operations, STS transfers, vessel deliveries, and dry dock management. Ashore, he has served as a Marine Traffic Coordinator with Jan De Nul and as a Marine Faculty at Euro Tech Maritime Academy, training senior officers. Since August 2025, he has been working as a Commercial Superintendent at Akeru Commercial, overseeing chartering and operations. He is known for his strong leadership, professionalism, and a consistent commitment to safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
Godfrey Vaz

A Master Mariner with over 20 years of extensive seagoing experience across oil and chemical tankers as well as hopper dredgers on global routes, he has sailed with leading companies including Scorpio Tankers, d’Amico Shipping, Synergy Marine, and Van Oord, gaining broad exposure to diverse cargo operations and vessel types. He holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) and a postgraduate diploma in Shipping & Logistics, bringing a well-rounded legal and commercial perspective to shipping operations. This combined expertise enables him to effectively align operational execution with contractual obligations. Since August 2025, he has been serving as a Commercial Superintendent with Akeru Commercial, overseeing chartering and commercial vessel operations with a focus on performance optimization, compliance, and risk management.
